zoeva luxe complete set review

G’day all! I now present you with part two of my ZOEVA Luxe Complete Set review, starring half of the eye brushes in the set 😉 Don’t forget to check out the Face Edition if you’re on the hunt for some new face brushes!

Today’s post features the following brushes:

  • 221 Luxe Soft Crease
  • 224 Luxe Defined Crease
  • 227 Soft Definer
  • 228 Crease
  • 231 Petit Crease

ZOEVA 221 Luxe Soft Crease

This tool blends your eyeshadow to pefection. Expect professional results.

This brush is hailed as the perfect blending brush but I find that the 227 Soft Definer (detailed further along this post) works better.

The bristles are made with a mix of natural and synthetic hairs which seem to be quite stiff and spikey – especially if you’re using this in the crease of your eyes.

The rounded head helps with applying eyeshadow towards the inner corner of your crease, but for the outer corner you’ll be better off with the 228 Crease brush.

I love using this brush to refine the details of my eyeshadow!

ZOEVA 224 Defined Crease

…a feather-light blending brush with a natural-synthetic hair mix free of dye.

The bristles form a squared shape that makes achieving the cut-crease look a lot easier than using a rounded crease brush.

The round, feathered tip of the brush picks up and deposits the right amount of product, giving you that control and flawless eyeshadow application.

Arguably the most different eye brush of the set besides the 231 Petit Crease, but this one allows for those edgier eye make up looks.

The ZOEVA 224 Defined Crease brush works perfectly well with both loose and pressed powder products, and is the perfect size for a defined crease.

ZOEVA 227 Luxe Soft Definer

Use this brush for the soft blending and shading of pressed powder and loose pigment eyeshadow.

This one is my favourite eye brush of the set because it’s so soft (duh!) and the shadow application experience is simply beautiful!

This is seemingly a sister to ZOEVA’s 234 Smoky Shader brush (not in this review) except with longer and rounded bristles.

Although the natural-haired brushes are a lot harder to wash, this one is amazingly soft and is my go-to blending brush.

ZOEVA 228 Crease

Eyeshadow brush for soft transitions

I love love LOVE this brush for contouring the eye socket area because the tapered bristles really help me feather out my colours and helps with blending.

Use an eyeshadow that’s 3 times darker than your complexion to create depth to your eyes!

Easily another favourite of mine in the set, and it’s perfect for smaller eyes too.

ZOEVA 231 Luxe Petit Crease

Accentuate and shade the crease

This cute, little brush is perfect for refining or blending for greater detail in the crease.

It’s fairly similar to the ZOEVA 230 Pencil brush except the bristles aren’t as pointed.

Overall, the ZOEVA 231 Petit Crease brush really enables you to sculpt your eyeshadow look, giving you a professional finish.

Of the 5 ZOEVA Luxe eye brushes in this post, the following are hands down my top favourites:

I’m still a bit iffy about whether the natural bristles are sourced humanely though..

ooohhh!! Thankyou so much for this post! Super helpful! I was actually looking into checking these out because I don’t actually own a proper makeup brush set…I was interested in sigma brushes to begin with but the price…. is not something I’d be comfortable in spending…

I’ll check out your other post on Zoeva brushes too!
