With so much variety in make up removal products on the market these days, from micellar waters to cleansing oils and oil-based removers to make up wipes, it’s hard to choose just one and stick to it.
But since I keep my daily make up look fairly basic (i.e. concealer, eyeliner, mascara, blush and a touch of eyeshadow), Wotnot facial wipes don’t just ‘get the job done’, they remove every trace of make up visible to the naked human eye and leave my skin feeling moisturised, not dry.
These are claimed to be “…the first facial wipe that’s 100% natural with certified organic ingredients to cleanse, sooth and hydrate” with:
- certified organic rosehip and sweet almond oil;
- certified organic aloe vera;
- 100% natural and biodegradable fibre;
and is alcohol and perfume-free, making them suitable for sensitive skin.
These are undeniably the softest and moisturising of facial wipes I’ve ever used. Most other brands I’ve tried, like the ECOCARE apple and honey cleansing wipes, were dry and scratchy and didn’t remove my make up well.
Unlike other wipes, these were packed with moisture even until the very last wipe which tends to be significantly drier than the very first. One wipe will take off a light-to-moderate make up look, with enough to give your skin that ‘just-moisturised’ feeling – of course, it depends what you define as ‘light-to-moderate’!
You can also get these in a nifty little travel case for when you’re on-the-go. These little cases have a small mirror on the bottom for quick make up touch ups, or just when you don’t have access to a mirror.
- removes make up with ease
- moisturising, not dry and scratchy
- unscented but smells pleasantly natural
- certified organic ingredients
- 100% biodegradable & compostable
- none that I can think of
I bought these at a whole foods store in Bondi Junction for $7.95 AUD, but see the list of stockists for places to buy these both online and offline. You could even order directly from their online store and pay a flat rate of $9.95 AUD for shipping, or if you spend over $100 don’t even pay a cent for shipping.
