Soap and Glory Hand Food is the hand cream that many a beauty blogger and vlogger have proclaimed to be one of the best hand creams out. The brand itself promotes Hand Food as a non-greasy hand cream made with shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow to leave the user with soft, smooth and silky hands.

The Breakdown

I picked up a baby sized (50mL) tube of Hand Food after trying it out at the Kit Cosmetics section of Myer in Sydney CBD. It has a rich, buttercream-like consistency which absorbed into the skin pretty quickly, leaving my hands baby smooth.

The Effect

My hands aren’t usually dry or chapped so I mostly use a lighter hand cream like the Sukin Organics hand & nail cream. I’d say Soap and Glory Hand Food is suited for people with hands that actually need some TLC, especially those who have dry, calloused and hardworking hands. For those like me who don’t usually need a hand cream, a pea-sized dollop is enough for it to condition your hands.

The Scent

Soap and Glory Hand Food is part of a collection of skincare products with Soap & Glory’s Original Pink scent, boasting notes of summery fresh fruits mashed with a bouquet of gardenia, rose and jasmine.

The fragrance is so lovely and it lingers on the skin for a couple of hours, but less if you wash you are required to wash your hands frequently.

Girls who love their fruity/floral scents will absolutely love the smell. I for one couldn’t resist the lemon, peach and strawberries fusion!

The Price

At $5.95 AUD for the travel size 50mL and $11.95 AUD for the full size 125mL AND you only ever need the tiniest bit at a time, this Hand Food has proven to be cost-effective to me.

You’re also able to keep it for 24 months upon opening, so there really is no rush to finish it before it goes ‘off’.

Amazing!

More suited for hardworking hands that need a little bit of TLC, but still non-greasy.

 The Verdict

In all honesty, I don’t need such a ‘heavy-duty’ hand cream because my hands usually do fine without any hand cream. Having said that, my paws do need some care from time-to-time because of the drying effects of sitting in air-conditioned classrooms all day along with Sydney’s tendency for dry weather.

It’s cost effective and smells a treat, which is almost everything I look for in my beauty and skincare products.

I can definitely see why so many people have hailed this hand cream. I would definitely repurchase this hand cream… when I run out of my Sukin Organics one!

Much love,
