This lip balm almost cost me $50 because I was thinking so hard of which lip balm to buy on my lunch break that I forgot my $50 note in the ATM! But it all worked out in the end, I called the bank up and they refunded my money, and I still settled on getting this REN’s Vita Mineral Lip Balm!
This REN lip balm has become one of my recent favourites because it works well in softening and soothing my lips, whatever condition they’re in. The key is in the amount you use!
This lip balm wears slightly sticky but I don’t mind it because once it sinks into your lips, it feels more silky than sticky. Though I find that the more you apply, the thicker it feels, and the thicker it feels, the stickier it gets. So it’s really just about finding out how much your lips need!
With the added benefits of acacia honey, shea butter, vitamin e, cocoa butter and calendula oil, I’m convinced that this lip balm was truly formulated with the intention of replenishing lips of all conditions! Aside from the notable list of naturally healing ingredients, this lip balm from REN Clean Skincare is scented ever so lightly of roses and honey. The scent is so light that you don’t even notice it unless you deliberately sniff the product.
Not to mention that it was formulated with REN’s ‘clean’ skincare philosophy in mind, meaning that the ingredient list for the Vita Mineral Lip Balm is free of:
- Mineral oil
- Synthetic fragrance
- Synthetic colours
- and a few other nasties that I can’t pronounce!
The product is dispensed from this curved applicator, which I prefer not to use to apply directly to my lips. Though, I do note that using my fingers for application isn’t much better.
I just have this thing against applying lip products with my fingers! So I sort of try to only use this REN lip balm after I’ve washed my hands.
I’m actually almost done with this tube, but at $18 AUD for 15ml/0.5 oz from Mecca Cosmetica, I’m a little iffy about splashing another $18 for this. REN Clean Skincare being a mid to high end brand though, I must admit that I’m surprised it didn’t cost more (say $30+ AUD).
Have you tried this lip balm? I’d love to know your thoughts!
If you’re trying to decide on whether to buy this or not, feel free to leave me any questions!
