I remember a time when natural skincare was both overpriced and hard to get a hold of. Although chemical-laden skincare lines prevail on pharmacy and supermarket shelves, customers are still left with very few choices when it comes to natural skincare.
Luckily, a new natural skincare brand will grace the shelves of Coles stores all over Australia pretty soon!
CROP Natural Skincare recently sent out their launch products for me to try out, and it looks like they have a lot to offer.
About CROP Natural Skincare
CROP seek to provide Australians with high quality and affordable natural skincare, add to that their partnership with Coles and accessibility won’t be an issue!
Each ingredient in their products are selected carefully, and formulated to nourish your skin. I love that the ingredients are also sourced sustainably, and that all their products are completely cruelty-free!
Cleanse & moisturise
Gentle cleansing gel (RRP: AU $18)
This is a clear gel that’s actually quite similar to the milk&co facial cleanser except packaged more conveniently in a pump bottle.
So far, I’m loving the scent of this cleanser thanks to the uplifting blend of eucalyptus, rosemary, lemongrass, cajeput and peppermint essential oils. It actually reminds me a lot of the eucalyptus drops we used to get from the school canteen! Yum..
Daily facial moisturiser (RRP: AU $12)
Call me a skincare noob, but I’ve never actually seen mandarin as a featured ingredient before so CROP’s daily facial moisturiser is a first.
Along with mandarin, there is also lemongrass, bergamot, nutmeg and sweet basil oils blended to hydrate and nourish your skin. Although, I’m a bit apprehensive about the nutmeg… but we’ll see!
This moisturiser absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that annoying greasy feeling that some moisturisers do.
Double-sided facial wipes (AU $6)
As the name suggests, these wipes exfoliate on one side and soothe on the other.
Although I don’t exactly have sensitive skin, exfoliating wipes (i.e. milk&co’s beauty wipes) have irritated my skin in the past so it’ll be interesting to see how these go.
I did notice that these wipes, although designed in Australia, was the only product in the range that was made in China.
Beauty oils have been all the rage lately, many of them having multiple purposes. CROP Natural Skincare have 3 beauty oils to offer; argan oil, rose hip oil, and macadamia oil.
Pure argan oil (RRP: AU $18)
Unlike many argan oils on the market today, CROP Natural Skincare’s pure argan oil does not contain added dimethicones.
Did you know that you can also use argan oil on your face, body and nails too? Pure argan oil, that is.
CROP’s pure argan oil is lightweight and is derived from kernels of Moroccan argan trees. Use it as a moisturiser on its own, or add it to your favourite moisturisers or toners to reap the benefits of the fatty acids and Vitamin E in argan oil.
Pure macadamia oil (RRP: AU $15)
The CROP pure macadamia oil can be used a moisturiser but it also has cleansing properties.
As with their argan oil, you can also use it on your hair and nails to nourish and rejuvenate them.
I’m particularly interested in trying this out as a cleanser because I’ve actually never tried using an oil (besides coconut oil) to remove make up and residue on my face.
Pure rosehip oil (RRP: AU $18)
Rosehip oil is widely known for its nourishing and anti-ageing benefits. It can be worn under make up, alone or mixed with moisturiser for extra hydrating power.
CROP’s rosehip oil is lightweight and provides skin protecting benefits of Vitamin A and C in rosehip oil. Consider making it a part of your everyday skincare routine, and it won’t take long for you to see a difference!
