7 natural oils to use as makeup removers

Make up wipes and make up removers are convenient, yes, but they may leave traces of cleansing chemicals that irritate your eyes and even damage your skin over time.

I know that we get caught up with the latest and greatest products on the market that we overlook the natural alternatives that perform just as great if not better.

KORA Organics Lip Balm Review

July 22, 2015 Lip Care
KORA Organics Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm

I’ve loved KORA Organics’ Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm for a while now, but I must admit it didn’t quite ‘do it’ for me initially because of the hefty price tag. $24.95 AUD for 6.5mL of product is a crazy price to pay for a lip balm, regardless of whether it’s organic or not.

My addiction to lip balm clouds my judgement like that, but luckily KORA Organics came out with an alternative way to package their lip balm – in tube form with a slanted applicator tip. And while it’s arguable if it’s that much better than its older packaging, I still bought it.

31 Days a Pescetarian

July 19, 2015 Lifestyle

Today marks the 33rd day of my almost meat-free diet and I admit it’s been a struggle even though eating a pescetarian diet allows me to continue eating seafood. My decision to go meat-free started out as a new year’s resolution that somehow turned into a pact with a friend to avoid eating meat before she jetted off to France.

The Me Time Tag

the me time tag

It was by pure chance that I’d stumbled across this tag (created by Essiebutton and amelialiana) on Dame de Rose, a blog worth checking out if you’re looking for more inspiration for natural beauty products.

I’m still looking for ways to make this beauty blog a bit more ‘personal’, so I thought it would be nice to take a break from the usual beauty posts and let my readers in on how I like to chill out introvert-style.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream Review

July 14, 2015 Hands and Feet

One dry Winter afternoon last year, my boyfriend and I were cruising along Glebe Point Road on our way home from work when I asked him to pull over outside The Cruelty-Free Shop. I’d left my Kora Organics hand cream at home that day and the skin on my hands was in a dire condition.

I needed a hand cream fix, STAT! So we shuffled inside the humble, little store and I quickly scanned the price tags of a small selection of hand creams and ended up taking the Lavera Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream home and liked it more than I thought I would.
