A LUSH Cosmetics Update

So.. It is no secret that my recently established LUSH obsession has driven my bank account WILD. So It’s only logical for me to give this blog a bit of an update on how things are going with the LUSH bathroom overhaul!

First off the list is the Honey I Washed the Kids shower gel (review coming soon!). I’ve been using this one for a couple of months now, and let me just say.. it smells AH-MAZING. So amazing that I’ve slowly led my boyfriend into a slight Lush addiction (as addicted as guys can get to cosmetics I guess!). He currently has the HIWTK solid soap in his shower, and we both love getting out of the shower smelling like honey with a touch of floral. He is usually not as fascinated with soap and shower things, so for him to say that he’ll be buying another block of HIWTK.. It is kind of a big deal.

Secondly, Rose Jam – a limited edition shower gel from lush, is going amazing. Like the HIWTK shower gel, it is quite strong if you sniff the bottle but once you apply and lather it. It’s pure genius. I think it smells of Turkish delight for a moment, and then the scent tames to a nice rosey scent. I’d love to eat it, but it has been advised against and.. I don’t think my body will like it too much either.

The third thing I want to mention is the Revive & Balance hair conditioner. I honestly don’t think this is something everyone will like (myself included). I mean, it doesn’t smell horrible or anything but it’s just different. Not a bad type of different, but it’s strong so the scent may be a little annoying especially for those with a more sensitive nose. Good thing is though, the boyfriend commented that my hair looks much healthier ever since I’ve started with my Godiva solid shampoo and conditioner, Jungle solid conditioner and the R&B hair conditioner routine. It might not mean much to you guys, but for him to actually notice anything to do with my hair or makeup.. it does say a substantial amount.

Prospective purchases include the Snow Fairy Shower Gel, even if it’s just the 100g. Who doesn’t like a bit of bubblegum? I just kind of wished LUSH Australia/New Zealand would bring back the older lip tints (*cough*SnowFairy*cough*). But I’ll probably have to wait a little longer.

LUSH Cosmetics currently have the limited edition LUSH online exclusive perfume. Out of the five, I’d most likely purchase Snow Fairy or Rose Jam. Call me a limited edition whore, but those two just smell so good that I wouldn’t be able to resist a splurge on the both. I can’t wait until they release another Honey I Washed The Kids perfume, I think that will be when I finally purchase one of their exclusive perfumes.

Although I have yet to adopt a completely vegan/cruelty-free lifestyle, having the choice to purchase cosmetics from Lush brings me one step closer every single time.

Watch this space for more Lush reviews in the future! Omnomnom! 😀

Much love,
