What I’ve realised in the past few years is that cruelty-free fragrances are pretty hard to come by. Most people opt for essential oils but I find them too heavy as perfumes. Besides, I find layered scents more interesting.
Despite being marketed as an energising mist, Lotus Wei’s Infinite Love Energy Mist has quickly become a handbag must-have. Not only is it a refreshing facial mist, it also doubles as my everyday fragrance too!
There are 6 different scents to choose from but the sales lady recommended the Infinite Love Energy Mist when I told her that I prefer aquatic floral scents over the sweet fruity ones.
Lotus Wei have definitely hit the mark with this beautiful blend of red mandarin with rose and honey notes because I can’t stop spritzing this everywhere!
It’s not just a facial mist! It’s also great for your bed sheets and pillows, as a room spray, and of course as an uplifting perfume.
This Infinite Love Energy Mist is light and refreshing and I love how subtle the scent is, unlike many designer perfumes that tend to be quite cloying. In mentioning the subtlety of this scent, don’t expect much (if any at all) sillage because the top notes of red mandarin and rose fade into a powdery bouquet over time.
I’m no expert in aromatherapy, but this is one of very few scented facial mists that I would repurchase because I find it really does help recalibrate my senses, especially after a long day.
The trick is to mist above and around your face and shoulders and then control your breathing, taking a deep breath while a shroud of floral goodness falls upon you! The scent lingers in my hair for a couple of hours too, which is nice.
It currently retails for $40 USD on the Lotus Wei website, but if you’re in Sydney Australia I suggest you go check the range out in person at Green Organics at the MetCentre in Wynyard. While it’s not the most ‘affordable’ energy mist, it’s additional uses make it worth my money.
So tell me, what’s scent are you currently wearing?
