One dry Winter afternoon last year, my boyfriend and I were cruising along Glebe Point Road on our way home from work when I asked him to pull over outside The Cruelty-Free Shop. I’d left my Kora Organics hand cream at home that day and the skin on my hands was in a dire condition.
I needed a hand cream fix, STAT! So we shuffled inside the humble, little store and I quickly scanned the price tags of a small selection of hand creams and ended up taking the Lavera Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream home and liked it more than I thought I would.
As detailed on the back-side of the tube, the main ingredients of this Lavera hand cream include organic almond oil and organic shea butter. Each of these ingredients hold their own nourishing and hydrating properties to protect and imbue your skin with essential moisture.
I loved how moisturising this hand cream was, along with the subtle scent that I swapped out my $39.95 AUD Kora Organics hand cream for it for a while.
The product itself is a thick, buttery consistency which creates a velvety protective layer on the skin when applied. It doesn’t take long for the product to set into the skin, leaving it soft to the touch and not greasy and gross.
Can you tell how much love I gave this hand cream from its battered exterior? The Lavera tagline (which usually reads Naturkosmetik) is practically gone!
Lavera Basis Sensitiv
The Basis Sensitiv range was formulated for everyday use, to suit all skin types so the whole family can enjoy the benefits of natural skincare. From my understanding, this line of skincare all carry the same subtle scent and reasonable price tags.
I purchased mine from The Cruelty-Free Shop, but it’s also available on iHerb (affiliate link)!
