Besides from the relentless spending on lip care, I would classify myself as a fairly frugal woman. It’s not that I don’t want anything, but because I usually leave the store telling myself to think about whether I need it.
I did that today, actually. While perusing the shelves of kikki.K this afternoon a certain little workbook caught my eye, I decided against getting it only to change my mind when we were leaving the stores.
1. Go Offline & Be Inspired Book, kikki.K
Chris spent a couple of minutes trying to convince me to get this because he knows how little I care about anything else when my eyes are glued to a screen, any screen. Oh well, it’s on the wishlist now anyway!
135 inspiring offline activities will make for one helluva’ challenge, but it will be worth it.
2. Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm, Cowshed
I’ve been a little uninspired by the limited balm selection online and offline lately, but I came across this one while browsing the beauty section on ASOS the other night.
I figured that if it’s had a fairly good reception across the internet then it can’t be too bad, right? Right.
3. GIL Crossbody Handbag, Matt & Nat
It sucks that the Aussie dollar is so damned cheap against the US dollar because I would make myself a little collection of all their vegan handbags if the dollar was better.
Note to self: Make another trip to The Cruelty-Free Shop again soon to check out the items in person.
4. Forbidden Fruits Palette, Saucebox Cosmetics
Neutral bronzes and browns make up a huge majority of my eyeshadow collection, so I thought I should add a touch of colour to the family with this beautiful berry-hued palette.
There’s a bundle deal going on at Lipstick Republic right now too where you get the Forbidden Fruits Palette with the Temptation Palette for $60 AUD all up. So why the hell not?!
5. Blemish Gel, KORA Organics
I’m currently going through my second bottle of LUSH Cosmetics’ spot treatment, more affectionately known as Grease Lightning, but I want to try this one to compare.
Hopefully it performs just as well as their Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm has for me!
6. Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book, Johanna Basford
I saw it first in a friend’s Instagram post, and later learned of the therapeutic benefits of such a simple activity like colouring in.
I’ll have to go on the hunt to find the perfect colouring tools for the job then.
