After waiting over a month for my Cherry Culture order to arrive on my doorstep, I finally got the chance to play around with my new blusher and lipsticks.

There has been a bit of buzz about Milani Cosmetics on the internet in the past, Lauren Curtis has featured their products in her videos/blog and Candice Chen of The Makeup Box has also given them some praise too.

I was even more intrigued when I found out that they’re cruelty-free, and so… I went on to make an order for the Milani Baked Blush in Corallina and the Color Statement Lipsticks in Flamingo Pose and Nude Creme!

The products are housed in the typical plastic packaging that most ‘drugstore’ brands use, so there’s nothing special here.

I just personally don’t like the fake gold colour because I think it makes the product look cheap. But that’s far from the truth because I’ve been loving these products to death!

Let’s just take a moment to fawn over the gorgeous white-orange-coral marble effect of this blush!

Originally, I had my sights set on getting Luminoso but because I made my order during one of Cherry Culture’s crazy sales, it was unfortunately out of stock.

I purchased Corallina instead because coral has been a love of mine since forever, and it looked like an easy-to-rock blush.

Needless to say, this is now my everyday blush because the subtle glow from the white shimmer is just so flattering.

I went with 26 Nude Creme & 12 Flamingo Pose after checking out all the swatches I can find on the intarwebz.

I loved that the bottom of the tubes (roughly) reflect what colour the product inside is. I say roughly because I don’t think it rings true for all of the colours, especially the nude shades. But I guess that is usually to be expected anyway.

Both lipsticks smell like fresh watermelon, which is a pleasant surprise considering a lot of lower end lipsticks tend to smell a bit funky.

However, having glossed over the lipsticks’ ingredients list, they’re not vegan based on the inclusion of lanolin, carmine and beeswax just to name a few.
