Aēsop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm Review

Aēsop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

I was so delighted when I received this Aēsop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm from my boyfriend’s family last Christmas!

Hand creams and lip balms are my two staples that I would never leave the house without. When you work in an air conditioned environment all day, ‘err day, there is bound to be repercussions (for your skin).

I love that Aēsop use clean, botanical ingredients in their products which always makes them feel so luxe. Not to mention how beautifully minimalistic their packaging is! The fact that the brand has Aussie roots makes them even more awesome.

The scent of this Aēsop hand balm is quite rustic and is very much a unisex scent. It’s a strong, herbaceous scent that complements the zesty citrus note of the mandarin rind. Rosemary leaf and cedarwood also make for the best base notes!

It’s thick and creamy, but that doesn’t affect how quickly it’s absorbed. Once dried, it leaves my hands feeling velvety matte, given it still takes a minute or so for it to sink in.

I only use a small amount (as pictured) and that’s enough to cover my hands, wrists and even my elbows!

My one complaint though (yes, #firstworldproblems!) is that it’s not always easy to get every last bit of product in aluminium tubes like these! And considering that it’s $29 AUD for the 75mL tube, you do want to use all you can!

I don’t have overly dry hands but they do get a bit flaky, especially in the dryer winter months. This Aēsop hand balm works great for hands like mine, but people with skin conditions that make their skin more irritable might need to find something more heavy duty.

Do you guys have any other great cruelty-free hand cream recommendations? Please let me know if you do!

Much love,
