Please excuse my choice of photos on this page, they were simply taken off my Instagram account because I’m completely rubbish at taking any decent profile photos. But hey! They still do the job 😉
Anyway, a little bit about myself huh? Well, I’m just a casual cruelty-free beauty blogger who also recently turned pescetarian. Though I’m starting to feel crappy about eating seafood too, so we’ll see how pescetarianism goes.
After being an omnivore for 24 years, cutting out meat from my diet was (and still is) quite a struggle. And I know that the vegetarian diet isn’t for everyone, whatever their reason is, so I’m not going to judge if you love your steak, or your lamb chops, or your chicken schnitzels!
That goes for your cosmetics and household products as well! Because that is also a decision for you to make, and I’m just here to give you some inspiration for cruelty-free beauty through this website.
The products you will see on this site are cruelty-free, meaning they’re not tested on animals. There are also some brands with products that aren’t tested on animals, but are owned by companies that do. While I do my best to avoid purchasing from brands that are owned by evil companies that do test on animals, there will still be the odd few products I do make exceptions for like Urban Decay, NYX, Dermalogica, etc. But I’ll be sure to mention it in individual reviews.
I should probably also note that some of the products reviewed in 2013 and early 2014 are NOT cruelty-free so please double check by doing a quick Google search if you’re not sure!
Oh, and while you’re here, I’ll also point out that some of the links on Classic Muse are affiliate links which means that I earn a small portion from each sale made when you follow my affiliate links.
Alright so that’s a little bit about me! I’d love to get to know more like-minded people, whether if you’re just starting out in cruelty-free living like me or if you’ve been living cruelty-free for years, or if you’re just curious as to what it’s like to live cruelty-free, please feel free to get in touch by emailing (leann)@classicmuse.com or if you prefer getting social on social media: / / / /
